"We are back with the second edition of "National Cooking Competition" featuring the best chefs(open to only girls) worldwide in the age group of 9-16 years in India. After the preliminary round, up to 16 participants will be shortlisted for the final to be held at Heritage Girls School's (Residential Girls school in India) campus. Having students compete in a friendly food-centred competition will get them excited about healthy cooking and help them to develop culinary skills that they can use at home in the kitchen and later in life. The event would be widely covered across various media platforms. A participant can apply for ONE category. Submit your recipe today and enter for a chance to WIN prizes worth Rs. 50000+."

Rules Of Competition

1. One can register under any ONE of the following categories. -SNACKS -DESSERT -CURRIES -SALADS
2. Only vegetarian dishes are allowed, recipes with eggs are permitted in the desserts category only.
3. Students to register through online website ONLY, typed or scanned copy of recipe to be uploaded in pdf format (cut, copy and paste recipes directly from the internet would be rejected)
4. Choose your favorite Recipes. It can be any dish you have cooked, like to cook or have seen been cooked. If selected for the finals, you will have to prepare your dish LIVE in front of the judges
5. Innovation in recipes and fusion of various cuisines will be part of the judging criteria. Creativity and Presentation of the dish will also be considered.
6. When submitting your entry, also include a photograph of the dish to explain better your entry and enable the judges to shortlist the entries for the finals.
7. The final round would be on Heritage Girls School campus in Udaipur on 20th January 2018.
8. For the finals, the contestants will have to prepare their dish in a fully equipped kitchen containing basic equipment. A time limit of 90 minutes will be given to complete and present the dish. Raw material mentioned in the recipe will be provided to each participant.
9. Basic presentation equipment will be provided. However, finalists are encouraged to bring their own presentation dishes which will enhance their dish.
10. To and fro travel and accommodation would be provided for the 16 shortlisted finalists and one guardian accompanying them.
11. A detailed itinerary would be emailed to finalists.
12. A panel of Celebrity Chefs would be judging the competition and providing feedback.
13. The participant should be in the age group 9 - 16 years.
14. Complete addresses need to be provided in application form.
15. The deadline to submit the recipes for National Cooking Competition is 31st October 2017.
